Article detailing the effects of Mom burn out and ways to cope.

Prioritize health care.

  • Talk to someone who can help.

211 community services, urgent care if need be, friends and family are all excellent resources in times of stress. It's easy to self isolate. Remember that people are still interested in your well being and want the best for you.

  • Sleep when baby rests. You don't have to do everything and be everything to all people. Really. Just Breathe.

  • Have mini spa days at home. Fun face masks, oatmeal foot soaks or a luxurious hair mask anyone? lift your spirit and care for your body. They are good for the wallet as well.

  • Practice positive self talk, Remember that this too shall pass and that you are the one that you've been waiting for.

  • Purchase a baby gate for older children to be used in kitchens or living rooms within your sight, to allow some separate space for mom's and dad's.

  • Listen to your favorite song inside your headphones and jam around the house with baby.

  • Walk baby around the house in their stroller. It sounds hard but babies love motion and you won't have to get dressed.

  • Use a baby swing or chair to hold and bounce baby when you are not able. Make sure that babies head is shifted appropriately.

  • Talk to other parents online and realize we're all in this together. Try sites like Reddit or What to expect, https://community.whattoexpect.com/forums/ to vent and learn from other families.

It's not easy being a parent but it's also not forever. Enjoy the good times and protect your health as much as possible in the hard times. Your loved and deserve the good care you provide for everyone else. ❤️
